Automotive training for post-incident and end-of-life vehicle management.
Who are we?

Setting the Standard in End-of-Life Vehicle Treatment
ELV Training delivers specialist vehicle depollution and end-of-life vehicle (ELV) recycling training for Authorised Treatment Facilities (ATFs) and organisations operating within the regulated ELV sector.
Established in 2022, we were the first UK training provider dedicated exclusively to supporting the end-of-life vehicle industry. Recognising the need for specialist technician development, we address the shortage of competent operators able to depollute and dismantle a wide range of vehicle makes and models safely, responsibly and in a way that maximises both recycling and reuse.
We have supported dozens of newly permitted facilities to implement compliant depollution and dismantling processes from the outset, while established operators use our structured programmes to strengthen workforce competence and apprenticeship development. Our expertise has also contributed to the development of a first-of-its-kind manufacturer-led circular vehicle treatment facility in the UK.
Our delivery model combines flexible online learning with selected onsite and centre-based accredited programmes, including CIWM-accredited ELV depollution training, CIWM WAMITAB Continued Competence, and IMI and City & Guilds F Gas qualifications.
All programmes align with the legal, environmental and safety obligations governing ELV treatment, ensuring structured, auditable competence across the recycling and waste sector.
Why choose ELV Training?
Specialist Automotive Training for Beyond the Workshop
While most automotive training focuses on maintenance and repair, our expertise extends beyond the confines of the workshop.
We support not only dismantlers and recyclers, but also the complex activities that arise when vehicles break down, become stranded, are submerged, severely damaged, defective or reach end-of-life. Once normal motoring ends, vehicle management becomes a specialist discipline in its own right. It involves multiple sectors — from emergency responders and recovery operators to insurers, storage providers and recyclers — operating in environments far removed from the typical garage.
These scenarios present distinct operational risks and are governed by hazardous waste legislation and specific National Occupational Standards. They demand specialist competence beyond conventional workshop training — precisely where our expertise sits.
That is why we provide specialist automotive training for those working with compromised vehicles outside the workshop.
