Who are we?

Setting the Standard in End-of-Life Vehicle Treatment

Established in 2022, ELV Training became the first UK provider dedicated exclusively to supporting the vehicle recycling industry — a sector that remains at the core of our expertise.

We deliver expert depollution and end-of-life vehicle (ELV) recycling training to Authorised Treatment Facilities operating within the highly regulated waste sector. Instrumental in supporting the development of National Occupational Standards for vehicle recycling, our programmes strengthen workforce capability, ensure demonstrable and auditable compliance, and integrate seamlessly into recognised apprenticeship frameworks.

From compliant site set-up and process design to contributing to the UK’s first manufacturer-led circular vehicle treatment facility, we help operators build competent, confident and commercially resilient teams and operations.

Why choose ELV Training?

Because not all automotive training is built for the workshop

Automotive training shouldn’t be built exclusively around workshop repair and maintenance — because many automotive professionals operate far beyond it.

Alongside our work with vehicle recyclers, we deliver specialist automotive training to the occupations that operate alongside the sector, including emergency responders, recovery operators, insurers and storage providers.

Together, these industries manage complex, high-risk situations when vehicles break down, become stranded, are submerged, severely damaged, defective or reach end-of-life. At that point, vehicle management becomes a specialist discipline in its own right — one that warrants bespoke training to reflect its demands.

Operating at the roadside, during emergency response, or as lone workers, they require rapid decision-making, dynamic risk management and operational control — conditions fundamentally different from those found in a conventional workshop environment. That’s why our automotive training has been purpose-built to manage real-world risk — the kind that exists beyond the workshop.
